Hartley & Joubert Inc. is a boutique law firm managed by its sole director, Deon Joubert.

The firm recognises the extreme difficulties and pressures that confront businesses and individuals in South Africa on a daily basis. Failed infrastructure, failed systems, incompetence, corruption and a complete disregard for the law have a direct impact on businesses (of all sizes) and individuals.

MORE ABOUT DEON JOUBERT

Deon is an admitted attorney and the founder of Hartley & Joubert Inc. He was raised in a small town of Northern K.Z.N and after graduating high school he spent a year working and traveling through the Middle East. Deon studied at the University of Pretoria and graduated through UNISA. Before he graduated, he spent a year playing amateur rugby in the West Midlands of England.

Deon qualified as an attorney in July 2009 and went on to obtain a master’s degree in Environmental Law through the Northwest University and a master’s degree in Extractive Industries Law in Africa (Mining) through the University of Pretoria.

Shortly after he qualified, he joined a national commercial and corporate law firm in Sandton, Johannesburg. After four years he returned to Pretoria where he had spells at two different law firms. It was here where he realised that a different approach is required to the traditional law practice. In 2018 he opened Hartley & Joubert Inc.

Since then, he has represented high net worth entrepreneurs and businesses in different commercial transactions and vigorously and successfully litigated a wide variety of matters on behalf of companies and individuals.

Despite his obvious interest in environmental and mining law, he provides a variety of legal services to small, medium and large businesses and individuals from all walks of life.

When he is not wearing his lawyer hat, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their two daughters. He is also an enthusiastic (and struggling) triathlete.

Estate Agent

Attorneys are legally entitled to act as Estate Agents and who else is more suited to be your sole point of contact and to protect your interests.

We offer a wide range of services that will assist you from your initial assessment of the property, the marketing and selling, the signing the Offer to Purchase and the eventual transfer of the property. We have the necessary skills and knowledge to advise on the entire sale process and deal with any possible disputes that may occur along the way.
